Job Summary:

NOVA-Dine is currently seeking an Application Admin- Intermediate to join their team. An active secret clearance and Comptia Sec+ certification will be required for this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for implementation activities to include plan, perform and implement installations and upgrades and implement/sustain middleware application components.
  • Provide application support for maintenance activities to include improving performance with available tools, checking application for problems and reviewing operations to ensure only valid processes are running, optimizing the functionality of application software, diagnosing and recovering failed applications and maintaining application integrity, performance and availability.
  • Provide application support for monitoring activities to include monitoring performance of and taking proactive measures to prevent service disruption.
  • Provide any required application jobs or scripts that are supported by the SEL3 Application Support team.
  • Provide for communication of incident and problem status and progress to all issue stakeholders during the full lifecycle of the incident and problem response. Critical application issues will be reported immediately or as soon as feasible, and non-critical issues will be reported within four (4) hours of the event.
  • Provide for the continuous and consistent monitoring of DISA Ticket Management System(s) for incoming ticket assignments to include logging into the DISA Ticket Management Systems(s) and searching for all tickets assigned to the specific group that the contractor is instructed to monitor.
  • Provide for technical engagements, interactions and exchanges by providing application administration information with Mission Partner and internal DISA Project Management Office (PMO) representatives and contractors via meeting, email, telephone, chat and teleconference.
  • Provide for participation via meeting, email, telephone, chat and teleconference in continuous process improvement initiatives resulting in advancements to DISA service delivery, efficiency, automation and technical advancement.

Skills Required: 

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Comptia Security+ certification 
  • Good analytical and reporting skills
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good documentation and process skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Remedy IT Ticketing system.

Technical Skills Required: 

  • ITIL Processes
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Internet
  • SharePoint
  • Experience with formal ticket system.
