Job Summary:

Dine Source is seeking a System Administrator to join our team to provide the management and technical support necessary to advance DOI's mission services, including infrastructure, capabilities and technologies. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of hands-on development, problem solving skills and experience delivering solutions to end users. Additionally, strong technical and communication skills are needed to work with experienced technical teams and in-turn communicate with non-technical employees and customers.  

The position is dependent on contract award.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support encompassing backup and recovery of Data Operations Center (DOC), system patching, Tier II/III support for lower tiers, performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, operational configurations, and resource optimization.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in supporting both Microsoft and Linux Operating systems, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Utilize knowledge of various Microsoft Products used in enterprise operations to effectively manage and maintain systems.
  • Apply expertise in VMWare to support virtualized environments and optimize performance.
  • Implement industry-standard data center physical security tools and applications to ensure the safety and integrity of data center resources.
  • Utilize knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and associated tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Apply basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Visual Basic, .NET, C#, PowerShell, etc., to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.
  • Develop project management documentation to facilitate project planning, execution, and tracking.
  • Demonstrate excellent interdepartmental communication skills through written communication, verbal interactions, and presentations to effectively convey information and updates.
  • Work autonomously and demonstrate the ability to resolve highly complex problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead projects, providing guidance and direction to team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Shared Services Enterprise Datacenter information technology projects, providing expertise and guidance as needed.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Active Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Education: Associate’s Degree, Certificate from a technical training institute, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 6 years of related technical experience in supporting Information Technology environments at the server/data center level.
