Job Summary:

DDC Dine Source is currently seeking a Sr. Data Center Analyst to support the DOI BIA ITSS contract.

The position is dependent on contract award.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate extensive technical understanding of enterprise hosted services data center operations, acting as a liaison between the hosting facility and customers.
  • Implement and manage data center utilization and performance metrics to ensure efficiency and optimal performance.
  • Manage physical infrastructure components including UPS systems, HVAC systems, and other critical systems for temperature control and power, overseeing assessments and contractor work.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on data center and communication rooms to ensure continuous operation.
  • Create and maintain accurate diagrams, schematics, and documentation of data center equipment, including serial numbers and asset tags.
  • Display initiative and dependability in providing 24/7/365 support and promptly responding to service interruptions.
  • Work independently to proactively identify and resolve issues before they affect service delivery.
  • Administer and troubleshoot physical environmental control systems such as Access Control and Video Monitoring Systems for security.
  • Apply ITSM practices like Change Management and Incident Management to maintain service availability and reliability.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service and ensure high service availability to meet client needs effectively.
  • Communicate effectively through technical writing, diagramming, and oral communication with IT professionals and management.
  • Utilize expertise in DCOI initiatives to enhance data center operations and efficiency.
  • Apply experience in data center service design and management to improve operational processes.
  • Implement and optimize Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions to streamline operations.
  • Utilize experience with Renewable Energy systems to support sustainable data center operations.
  • Apply knowledge of NIST Special Publication 800-53 standards, focusing on Physical Environmental Controls for compliance and security.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

 

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience Required:

    • Minimum of 10 years of related technical experience in supporting and designing data centers.
    • Extensive technical understanding of enterprise hosted services data center operations, serving as a liaison between the hosting facility and its customers.
    • Experience in implementing and managing data center utilization and performance metrics.
    • Proficiency in UPS systems, HVAC systems, and other physical infrastructure associated with temperature control and power systems.

Additional Experience and Skills:

      • Proven experience in assessing power systems and ensuring quality work by Data Center electrical contractors.
      • Ability to oversee and manage contracted vendor work in a data center environment.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
      • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff members in data center operations and management.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in data center operations.
