Job Summary:

Diné Development Corporation is looking for a Business Development /Capture Analyst (DoD) to join our Growth Team!

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive organization and collaborate closely with our Growth Team to drive pipeline development, conduct opportunity research, and execute capture and proposal tasks aimed at securing successful proposals. As part of this role, you will be tasked with gathering crucial competitive insights, conducting thorough analysis of market and competitive data to pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses of DDC's competitors, and actively contributing to the development of winning positioning, messaging, and innovation strategies for the team. The position will have access to Growth leaders and executives that will provide a great foundation to grow across the company.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the BD/Capture Team in the full Business Development (BD) lifecycle: Identify, research, analyze, qualify, and lead opportunities, driving them from inception to fruition.
  • Disseminate insights effectively: Create informative materials for both virtual and in-person use, sharing valuable insights across the organization.
  • Manage internal and customer artifacts efficiently: Organize and consolidate materials related to government acquisitions, ensuring easy access for relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitor analysis: Gather data from various sources to assess competitors' strengths and weaknesses, informing strategic decision-making.
  • Drive strategic positioning: Apply critical analysis to competitive knowledge, generating insights that help shape high-impact messaging and strategies.
  • Support competitive assessments: Collaborate with the BD/Capture Team to determine optimal company positioning and strategies for success.
  • Provide objective evaluations: Offer impartial perspectives on strengths and weaknesses based on thorough research and analysis.
  • Facilitate informed decision-making: Synthesize data into actionable recommendations, minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities.
  • Optimize BD processes: Assist in streamlining and automating BD procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough market research: Monitor and analyze established databases, as well as coordinate with external stakeholders to stay informed about upcoming opportunities.
  • Enhance client engagement: Communicate with clients, competitors, and teammates to gather valuable market insights and inform acquisition strategies, as directed.
  • Support capture planning: Assist in developing comprehensive capture plans, including opportunity analysis, competitor assessment, pursuit strategy, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to identify and understand customer requirements to assist in developing compelling and winning proposals.
  • Engage in industry events and networking: Actively participate in Industry days, conferences, and other relevant events to stay updated on industry trends, network with potential clients and partners, and gather market intelligence to inform acquisition strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in business development and capture within DoD markets
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Solid understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle, customers’ buying trends, budgets, and requirements.
  • Proven track record of supporting efforts in winning contracts within the defense sector, including experience with new business pursuits and recompete efforts.
  • Solid understanding of the federal acquisition process, including IAC, GWAC, Agency MAC, and alternative contracting models (OTA, CSO, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting thorough research using SAM.Gov, GovWin, and other research platforms
  • Demonstrate agile decision making, strategic thinking, and ability to help drive the team to results
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and interpersonal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint), MS TEAMS is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
