Job Summary:

As an Oracle DBA with AWS experience at DDC - Source, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, security, and optimal performance of our database systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases hosted on AWS infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, coupled with hands-on experience in managing databases in AWS cloud environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of Oracle database administrators and engineers in administering Oracle 19c databases
  • Coordinate and manage migration of on-premises database to AWS cloud services.
  • Perform Oracle database administration; analyze and optimize database performance utilizing indexes and dynamic tables to improve application response time.
  • Maintain, upgrade, test and implement patches and security measures to safeguard Oracle databases.
  • Modify existing database structures to support new requirements for government applications.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to organize and lead a technical team
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Software Engineering, Computer of Information Systems, or related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience including 5+ years Oracle database administration experience
  • Amazon Web Service (AWS) experience, experience with migration of databases to Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) or Relational Database Service (RDS) a plus
  • 1 – 5 years of experience working with large scale applications
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL and OS programming shell scripting
  • Experience with database structures, table maintenance and familiarity with data manipulation
  • Current IAT II or higher 8570 certification (e.g. Security+)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills :

  • Previous experience with the USAF
  • Experience with administrating Oracle Access Manager (OAM), APEX, and Oracle Analytics Suite (OAS)
  • Demonstrated experience with UNIX system commands (e.g., mv, cp, rm, grep, vi) and the ability to troubleshoot system, application, and network issues.
