Job Summary:

Business Intelligence Application Administrator to support the Defense Health Agency.  We are looking for a System Administrator who will be responsible for designing, securing, implementing, and monitoring the Business Intelligence Application platform (Tableau, QlikView, and Qlik Sense) and the underlying Microsoft server architecture; also, to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. You will become an integral part of the team, making every problem of the platform a problem of your own, and solving them accordingly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides team technical guidance to less experienced systems administrators.
  • Installation/Configuration of Business Intelligence applications
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of Windows Servers and Business Intelligence applications
  • Support and Maintain Windows Servers and Business Intelligence Application security compliance with Patching and IAVA remediation
  • Harden and Secure Windows Servers and Business Intelligence Application according to DISA Security and Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Reviews logs and monitor systems performance
  • Support Development staff with Deployments of custom solutions
  • Develop, Test, Maintain, an automation framework for repeatable tasks to reduce overhead
  • Develop Modernization and Upgrade Plans of the existing systems
  • Troubleshooting support:
    • TIER 1 BI Tools and Windows Server Support (to include but not limited to):
      • Support basic customer troubleshooting efforts
      • Operating System issues troubleshooting and resolution
      • Permissions issue troubleshooting and resolution
      • Web Service issue troubleshooting and resolution
      • Database issue troubleshooting and resolution
      • Business Intelligence Application issue troubleshooting and resolution
    • TIER 2 BI Tools and Windows Server Support (to include but not limited to):
      • Network troubleshooting
      • Active Directory Integration issue troubleshooting and resolution
      • Authentication and Authorization troubleshooting and resolution (SAML and Kerberos)

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology systems, computer science, pre-med, or other related fields 
  • 3+ years of experience with Business Intelligence Application System Administration (Tableau, QlikView, or Qlik Sense)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software- Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or SharePoint 
  • Experience with data collection, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Detailed understanding of good data management processes 
  • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact with interdisciplinary team members, study site personnel, and physicians 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and reprioritize based on changing demands to meet study timelines 
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details 
  • Experience within the DoD and Government agencies 

 Required Qualifications

  • A background investigation is required
  • Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience
  • CompTIA Security+ certified
  • Windows Server OS training

 Desired Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Tableau Certified Server Associate
  • QlikView Certified System Administrator
  • Qlik Sense Certified System Administrator
