Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SharePoint Trainer to join our team. The SharePoint Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs to help our stakeholders effectively use SharePoint. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of SharePoint and have a passion for teaching and empowering others.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SharePoint training materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for stakeholders at various skill levels.
  • Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of different departments and teams.
  • Provide hands-on training in SharePoint functionalities, including site creation, document management, workflows, and collaboration tools.
  • Teach best practices for SharePoint usage, including information architecture, permissions management, and content organization.
  • Offer post-training support to address questions and assist with SharePoint-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of training materials and resources for ongoing employee reference.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback.
  • Continuously improve training materials and methods based on participant feedback and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to understand training needs and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote the benefits and usage of SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop new training materials, workflows, and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016/2019, and Office 365.
  • Experience with instructional design and training program development.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Proficiency in creating training materials using various tools and software.
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing training needs.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Passion for technology and continuous learning.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience conducting remote training using Microsoft Teams and other communications platforms.
  • Previous experience in corporate training or education.

 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Trainer or in a similar role.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

OR

5+ years of work experience

 

Certifications: 

Ability to obtain a SharePoint related certificate within 3-6 months of hire date.
