Job Summary:

DDC 4C is seeking a Forestry Technician to join their growing team! Looking for a skilled equipment operator to support our Forestry and Natural Resource Management work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Forestry Technician will perform brush clearing, prescribed burning, mastication, pre-commercial thinning, and herbicide application to improve and enhance forestry habitat.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Background check for base access will be required for role. 
  • Must obtain burning certificates and herbicide license within two months of being hired.
  • Candidate must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Equipment operations may be required with safety training.  All training will be provided at company expense. 
  • Physical requirements: 

    • Regularly lift 5 pounds and correctly lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Physically able to conduct forestry field work utilizing hand tools, rakes, backpack sprayers, brush saws, and chainsaws for 8hrs work day.
    • Strenuous and requires a high-energy person, walking over rough terrain, and traveling to/from remote forest jobsites
