Job Summary:

Our North Stone Subsidiary is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support ITA’s cloud-first strategy by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions. This role will focus on managing FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments, ensuring compliance with IT security policies, and optimizing cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency. The Cloud Engineer will work with a team of IT professionals to support ITA’s mission-critical applications, enabling seamless cloud operations and automation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Manage Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security policies in alignment with FedRAMP, NIST, and ITA security regulations.
  • Automate cloud resource management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud networking, storage, and computing performance.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for cloud-related issues and incidents.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
  • Document cloud architecture and maintain detailed system logs for compliance audits.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

 

Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

 

Clearance: Public Trust required

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, networking, and virtualization
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, CIS Benchmarks)
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
  • Experience with cloud-native applications, Kubernetes, and containerization
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing cloud technologies
  • Attention to detail and security best practices
