Job Summary:

Red Canyon Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience to support a high-visibility federal program. This role is critical to optimizing enterprise systems and processes by aligning technical capabilities with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in stakeholder engagement, workflow optimization, data analysis, and technical documentation to inform strategic IT decisions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage stakeholders to gather, assess, and document detailed business and functional requirements for IT-related projects.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend areas for improvement by leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Develop business process models, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications to support system enhancements and new technology adoption.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with operational objectives.
  • Support the planning and execution of IT projects, including tracking milestones, managing risks, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
  • Create and present data-driven reports, dashboards, and visualizations to inform decision-making and policy development.
  • Research and evaluate innovative technologies to identify opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.
  • Lead and contribute to requirements workshops, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation reviews.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of government systems, compliance standards, and mission requirements to ensure effective IT integration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This is a remote-first position with occasional travel required for strategic planning meetings, leadership briefings, or collaborative work sessions. Red Canyon Technologies values autonomy, accountability, and a collaborative team environment.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Active Secret clearance required!
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or process improvement within technology or government consulting environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in requirements elicitation, business process re-engineering, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience analyzing workflows and implementing systems that enhance operational performance.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques, metrics development, and visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear and actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with business analysis and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Six Sigma) are a plus.
