Job Summary:

Are you at the point in your career where you want to influence innovation and efficiencies? SpinSys Diné is seeking an experienced Chief Architect to serve as a key leader for a program which is includes infrastructure and application platform effort supporting multiple mission-critical tenants. It encompasses full lifecycle management of DevSecOps pipelines, on premise, hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure, secure multi-tenant environments for different classification levels. The Chief Architect leads the design, integration, and governance of scalable architecture that enables rapid, secure delivery of capabilities across tenants, while ensuring compliance with enterprise cybersecurity and modernization standards.

 

Key Scope Elements:

 Infrastructure: Design and oversight of on premise, hybrid and cloud-native, DevSecOps pipelines to support containerized infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, service mesh) in classified and unclassified environments.

Tenant-Based Architecture: Support for multi-tenant architectures with strict boundary enforcement,  RBAC, and data isolation strategies.

DevSecOps Management: Governance of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines including automated testing, security gates, and infrastructure-as-code, ensuring resilience, repeatability, and auditability.

Cross-Domain and Security: Architect solutions that comply with DoD cyber standards (e.g., RMF, Zero Trust), enabling secure delivery in high-side environments.

Technical Leadership: Serve as the authoritative voice on architectural decisions, modernization roadmap alignment, technical debt prioritization, and stakeholder integration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and Maintain Architecture Baselines: Establish and oversee the technical architecture baseline across classified systems and environments, ensuring alignment with mission objectives. Ensure the hardware/software baseline is documented and maintained. Oversee the evolution of the technical baseline to align with strategic goals and mission requirements
  • Identify Risks and Opportunities: Lead the identification of architecture-level risks, issues, integration strategies and opportunities. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities to enhance system performance and resilience to support long-term technical goals
  • Lead Technical Working Groups: Convene and participate in technical working groups, conduct trade studies, and drive decisions on technology investments or solutions to address challenges or capability gaps.
  • Develop Design Artifacts: Oversee the creation and maintenance of architecture design artifacts supporting system integration, cloud migration, scalability, resilience, and disaster recovery planning to include system diagrams, technical roadmaps, and performance optimization plans
  • Coordinate with Cybersecurity for Compliance: Provide support for cybersecurity alignment, accreditation dependencies, and compliance with frameworks such as RMF and NIST 800-53 for alignment to the technical roadmap.
  • Coordinate Across Teams: Collaborate with engineering, cyber, infrastructure, and software teams to ensure architectural cohesion and seamless integration.
  • Monitor Emerging Technologies: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that align with mission objectives. Explore advanced technologies such as AI/ML, hybrid-cloud systems, and automation to address complex challenges
  • Engage Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, contractors, and external entities to ensure alignment with mission and contractual requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility 
  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of technical experience with at least 5 years as technical lead or solutions architect for application development with multiple applications
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and network supporting multiple classification environments
  • Knowledge and understanding dealing with classified systems and compliance frameworks such as RMF or NIST 800-53.

Pay Range: $195,000 – $278,000

The compensation range listed for this position is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is intended to reflect the typical range Diné Development Corporation and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role. Final compensation may vary and is determined based on factors such as the position’s responsibilities, relevant education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data alignment, and applicable collective bargaining agreements or laws.
