Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Auditor (Senior) to support compliance, readiness, and control evaluations within federal financial systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed assessments of system controls and supporting audit-readiness activities in a DoD environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments aligned with the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA).
  • Apply GAO FISCAM and Federal Audit Manual methodologies to evaluate system controls.
  • Plans, executes, and reports on information systems controls assessments.
  • Assess cybersecurity, access, change, and segregation of duty controls in ERP and financial systems.
  • Review and interpret requirements from OMB A-123, A-127, A-134, and NIST frameworks.
  • Provide recommendations and prepare audit working papers and findings documentation.
  • Support DLA's audit readiness and participate in engagements with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Clearance: Must possess or be eligible for an IT-II (Tier 3) Non-Critical Sensitive clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Certifications: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized auditing or IT authority (e.g., CISA, CPA).
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant business or technical field.
  • 4 years in IT auditing or financial systems auditing; 1+ year of government experience. Familiarity with federal systems development life cycle (SDLC) and documentation.
  • Experience with Federal accounting principles to include demonstrated experience in applying them in various accounting systems.
  • Proven understanding of the Federal Financial Improvement Act (FFMIA) requirements and experience applying FFMIA requirements in assessment of financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of federal financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Experience evaluating ERP system controls and preparing working papers for audits.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority required.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
