Job Summary:

Dine Source is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Applications Programmer to provide application programming and sustainment support for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) DAAS D-BX Implementation. This position participates in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of computer programs that meet end-user requirements. The Applications Programmer – Basic assists systems analysts and designers in researching, documenting, and translating user needs into program specifications, as well as modifying existing applications to improve functionality or correct errors. The role supports modernization and sustainment efforts within an Agile and DevSecOps environment, ensuring that applications align with DLA technical and security standards.

 

*This position is contingent upon contract award.* 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Application Sustainment & Development

- Assist with sustainment lifecycle management activities for DAAS programs and projects.
- Participate in designing software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.
- Analyze objectives and problems identified by systems analysts and/or designers.
- Translate solutions provided by systems designers into detailed program specifications.
- Modify and document program code to correct errors or enhance capabilities.
- Test applications and assist in preparing reports on status, operation, and maintenance.

 

Modernization & Integration

- Support implementation of application programming interfaces (APIs) for integration with DAAS modernization efforts.
- Participate in developing application/process automation solutions using low-code/no-code BPMN tools.
- Assist in Agile and hybrid application development efforts within large-scale DBMS environments.
- Ensure developed or modified applications remain compatible with DAAS reporting, portal, and message/transaction processing systems.

 

Collaboration & Compliance

- Work with analysts, designers, and developers to implement solutions aligned with DLA requirements.
- Prepare documentation for other programmers, end-users, and support personnel.
- Support adherence to applicable DoD, DISA STIG, ICAM/ABAC/RBAC, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.

- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

- Active Secret clearance required. 

- 8 years of relevant experience in application programming and sustainment lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Experience with large-scale DBMS environments.
- Familiarity with APIs, BPMN tools, and Agile development processes.

- Some travel may be required. 

 

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in programming languages supporting enterprise applications.
- Understanding of relational DBMS concepts and development.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration concepts and APIs.
- Ability to use development and testing tools to ensure quality code delivery.

 

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team environment.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks under minimal supervision.

 

Education & Certification

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance (Tier 3) - Secret clearance at time of proposal submission.
