The Data Engineer/Architect will lead the design, strategy, and governance of STB’s enterprise database and cloud data environments, ensuring scalability, compliance, and performance.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
- Design enterprise database architectures and develop integration strategies
- Lead data governance framework implementation including metadata and lineage
- Develop technical standards, best practices, and governance processes
- Architect secure, FISMA-compliant database and data privacy solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams
- Support migration, optimization, and modernization initiatives across hybrid cloud environments
- Other duties as assigned
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain Moderate Risk MBI clearance
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering/architecture roles
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale database transformation projects
- Expert knowledge of AWS cloud-native data platforms and hybrid architectures
- Strong background in data governance, compliance, and security frameworks
- Experience with DoD/Federal cybersecurity standards (FISMA, NIST 800-53)
