Job Summary:

The Data Engineer (Junior) will support database design, ETL pipeline development, and performance optimization for STB’s cloud data platforms including AWS RDS and Redshift.

 

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist with database schema design and data modeling

- Develop stored procedures, triggers, and database objects

- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions

- Assist DBA with query optimization and indexing strategies

- Support database migrations, upgrades, and data validation processes

- Help maintain data cataloging and metadata documentation

- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

- US Citizenship with ability to obtain Moderate Risk MBI clearance

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience with SQL development and database fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server
- Basic understanding of database performance concepts and optimization
- Experience with AWS services such as RDS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
