Job Summary:

We are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and support client production and test databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The DBA provides technical expertise in database design, tuning, backup, recovery, and audit readiness.

 

*This position is contingent upon contract award*

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain relational database systems (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support database security compliance, access controls, and STIG remediation.
  • Collaborate with developers and system engineers to implement efficient database solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  •  Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. 
  • Certification: Must have one of the qualifying DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification which can include one (1) of the following:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA+
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • Security+ CE
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • Five (5)+ years of progressive DBA experience with large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with DB2 and SQL Server administration.
  • Experience with database performance optimization, security, and auditing.
