Job Summary:

We are seeking a Database Management Specialist to provide technical expertise in DBMS analysis, design, and support. This role ensures DSS database systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for mission-critical operations.

 

*This position is contingent upon contract award*

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide DBMS expertise for design, development, and sustainment activities.
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures.
  • Develop and implement backup, recovery, and data integrity solutions.
  • Support database migrations, upgrades, and integration activities.
  • Evaluate and recommend DBMS products and technologies to meet requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  •  Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. 
  • Education: BA/BS in a technical discipline
  • Certification: Must have one of the qualifying DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification which can include one (1) of the following:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA+
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • Security+ CE
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • Five (5)+ years of experience in database management and system analysis.

  • Strong understanding of DBMS internals and design methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with backup/recovery and security configuration.
