Job Summary:

The Project Manager – Senior is responsible for providing technical and personnel management across multiple disciplines, including engineering, application development, and systems management. This role ensures the successful execution of a specific task order or group of related systems, overseeing project planning, scope management, risk assessment, and timely deliverables within budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT project management, federal compliance requirements, and cybersecurity-related initiatives.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensuring that all project objectives and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Contractor and government.
  • Manage the comprehensive array of services and deliverables for the task areas under this PWS.
  • Monitor and report on the overall health, progress and performance of the task order.
  • Manage the task order's scope, deliverables and achievement of performance standards
  • Maintain regular communication with the customer to provide updates and address any inquiries or feedback.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential risks, issues and other concerns to the customer
  • implement appropriate mitigation strategies to address identified risks, issues and concerns, ensuring minimal impact on task order objectives and performance standards.
  • Utilize an agreed upon approach to track health and progress of this task order.
  • Develop and implement a Task Order Management Plan that outlines the strategic approach to scope, schedule, quality, and risk management. This plan will include a communication strategy and change management processes for the task order. Additionally, this plan will detail the roles and responsibilities of the contractor’s team. The contractor must provide and update a comprehensive staffing list as part of this plan.
  • Manage and coordinate the efforts of the project team and subcontractors
  • Experience managing projects of similar size and scope.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Active DoD Secret clearance required!
  • Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience within a federal IT environment, 4 of which must be in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing IT Services including cyber security, IT operations, and project management
  • Proven track record in managing enterprise IT and cybersecurity projects.
  • Certifications: Desired certifications in project management (PMP or equivalent certification), CISSP, ITIL.
  • Systems Tools Familiarity: Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and other project management tools.

Additional Experience Desired:

  • Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, OMB, and other federal cybersecurity compliance standards.
  • Experience working with DOC or similar federal agencies.
