BRIC, LLC us seeking a Biologist to conduct fieldwork and reporting for projects in Oregon and Washington. The biologist will work from home and field. The Biologist position requires an educational and experience background in biology, wildlife, range science, natural resource management, botany, or a related field. This exciting position will be a mix of field and office work, depending on project type and season, however it is primarily a field work position. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of biological studies, including conducting general biological surveys, evaluations and assessments in support of Endangered Species Act consultation and Clean Water Act permitting requirements, baseline studies, and environmental monitoring. Project work may include Federal land management, oil and gas development, mining, transportation, water resources, renewable energy, transmission/pipelines, mining, habitat restoration, and watershed studies. Experience with aquatic species, bird identification, wetland delineation, and/or northwest vegetation identification is highly desirable. The primarily field based work takes place in an outdoor environment, often remote, where the climate, weather and terrain can be demanding. The position may involve an irregular schedule and extended hours. It is anticipated that moderate travel, including overnight stays, will be required for the position. Field work will be primarily in Oregon and Washington but may include travel to other surrounding states. Reporting and other office tasks will require working on a computer for extended periods.   What You Will Accomplish:  Conduct biological natural resource field surveys collecting observational and spatial data concerning a variety of vegetation, aquatic, terrestrial and/or avian species. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide design, engineering, implementation, and migration support for moving applications behind the WAF.  Working with WAF for multiple load balancer technology to include local load balancing, global load balancing and authentication gateway services.
